In 1979, a US Air Force retiree living in Arizona noticed the number of vehicles driving around with towels and rags on the dash area in an effort to reduce the harsh heat and glare of the desert sun.
He experimented with a number of different materials, looking for both the ideal texture (to reduce glare) and insulation (to reduce heat build-up) and, after adding a latex backing for shape retention, he introduced the perfect carpet for his new product –
DashMats.

As we mentioned in the first article of this series about the 2012 Work Truck Show, we would be giving you some of the highlights from the 2011 Show. Indianapolis was the location and from March 6th through March 8th, attendance was over 10,000 which was a 24 percent increase over 2010. Read more from NTEA here.

Well, it has taken us a while to get back in the swing of things since the 2011 SEMA Show ended, but now we're ready to review a little of what we experienced this year in Las Vegas. 
The show was as big as ever and the traffic appeared to be up from previous years. We enjoyed seeing so many old friends and meeting new ones. 
Upon opening of the show, we took the opportunity to announce our Sponsorship of Motorz TV. Chris Duke and his crew made an appearance in the booth, shook hands, visited briefly and then shot video for the upcoming Motorz SEMA episode. We enjoyed catching up with them, showing off our signage announcing the deal, and then telling them about the products we had on display. 
We also had a beautiful Mustang GT that showcased a Colgan Custom bra and mirror covers made from the Carbon Fiber vinyl fabric. A custom DashMat, UVS100 sunshield, and SeatGloves were in the front, while a custom Canine Cover was installed in the back seat. A custom Pocket Pod was installed in the trunk, and of course, a custom Form-Fit Cover that included the iconic Mustang logo that is available through our Ford Official Licensed
