Covercraft Introduces Covers For Causes

PRESS RELEASE
August, 2012
“Covers for Causes” introduced by Covercraft
It goes without saying that women have a tremendous impact on the automotive industry, purchasing over half of the new cars sold in the U.S. and influencing 80 percent of all family car-buying decisions (forbes.com). Women also play key roles in our automotive industry, with positions in management, design, sales and the aftermarket, along with ownership of repair and parts facilities and dealerships. As our way of acknowledging women in the automotive industry, and indeed everywhere, Covercraft is launching the “Covers for Causes” program in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.  We will contribute a percentage of our profits from the sales of these products to breast cancer research programs.
Marty Lichtmann, President of Covercraft, announced the new program by saying, “Almost everyone I know has been touched by cancer, or knows of someone who has had to battle this horrific disease.  Research has made great strides, but needs much more support in the effort to find a cure.”
The program includes a special pink version of the popular NOAH® car cover fabric made by Kimberly-Clark and a pink version of the UVS100™Windshield Heat Shield.  Both products are custom patterned and feature a silk-screened “Covers for Causes” logo.

Covercraft Powersports to Exhibit at the 30th Annual Americade

Americade’s 2012TourExpo May Be Largest Ever in Event’s 30 Years

2011’s Record Size May Be Surpassed In 2012

Lake George, NY:  Americade’s tradeshow, TourExpo,  grew to a record 245 vendors in 2011, and may set another record in 2012.

While other events have seen decreases over the past 5 years, Americade is very unusual because it has  grown or maintained its size, resulting in increased interest by customers.

“We look forward to coming back year after year,” said Kelly Appleton, from Gear Up Helmets.  “When our customers ask what's the best rally we go to, we always say Americade and tell them that if we weren't vendors it would be the rally we would attend as riders every year.”

“While we were delighted last year when TourExpo was the largest in our 30 year history,” said Americade’s Christian Dutcher, “we weren’t surprised.  Growing a rally like ours is in this economy is a rarity,  yet we’re getting more and more calls from vendors saying ‘TourExpo is THE place to be.’”

The growing list of TourExpo vendors, including Covercraft Powersports can be found HERE

Americade Week is June 4th through June 9th, and TourExpo is open June 5th through June 9th.

40th Annual Competition Specialties Mega Show

Competition Specialties, Inc. is the West's largest wholesale distributor specializing in high performance parts and off-road accessories. The cornerstone of CSI's business is aggressive pricing and unmatched service. Unlike other distributors, CSI strives to support the two-step distribution system by NOT selling mail order and NOT owning retail stores. CSI does NOT compete with their wholesale customers.

The 40th annual Competition Specialties Mega Show was held at their warehouse in Auburn, WA on February 25th and 26th.  Jobber attendance was very good and there were lots of prizes and cash money given away.  Covercraft participated with a 10x10 booth displaying not only their full line of Crafted2Fit custom car covers and SeatSavers but also the their newest item, the SeatHeater.
