40th Annual Competition Specialties Mega Show

Competition Specialties, Inc. is the West's largest wholesale distributor specializing in high performance parts and off-road accessories. The cornerstone of CSI's business is aggressive pricing and unmatched service. Unlike other distributors, CSI strives to support the two-step distribution system by NOT selling mail order and NOT owning retail stores. CSI does NOT compete with their wholesale customers.

The 40th annual Competition Specialties Mega Show was held at their warehouse in Auburn, WA on February 25th and 26th.  Jobber attendance was very good and there were lots of prizes and cash money given away.  Covercraft participated with a 10x10 booth displaying not only their full line of Crafted2Fit custom car covers and SeatSavers but also the their newest item, the SeatHeater.

2011 SEMA Show Recap - Inside the Covercraft Booth

Well, it has taken us a while to get back in the swing of things since the 2011 SEMA Show ended, but now we're ready to review a little of what we experienced this year in Las Vegas.
The show was as big as ever and the traffic appeared to be up from previous years. We enjoyed seeing so many old friends and meeting new ones.
We've had our booth in Central Hall for many years now but this year we moved up towards the Ford end of the hall. The location was awesome!
Great traffic all around us and our Exhibitor neighbors were first class.
Upon opening of the show, we took the opportunity to announce our Sponsorship of Motorz TV. Chris Duke and his crew made an appearance in the booth, shook hands, visited briefly and then shot video for the upcoming Motorz SEMA episode. We enjoyed catching up with them, showing off our signage announcing the deal, and then telling them about the products we had on display.

Our booth location wasn't the only change we had this year, we also changed our booth configuration. We brought in a couple of vehicles to show off our products and the response was extremely positive.

Our Jeep was outfitted with a custom LeBra brand mask, custom SeatSaver seat protectors in the front  and rear, a custom DashMat, Premium Floormats, Pocket Pods and a Spare Tire Cover. We also had a beautiful Mustang GT that showcased a Colgan Custom bra and mirror covers made from the Carbon Fiber vinyl fabric. A custom DashMat, UVS100 sunshield, and SeatGloves were in the front, while a custom Canine Cover was installed in the back seat. A custom Pocket Pod was installed in the trunk, and of course, a custom Form-Fit Cover that included the iconic Mustang logo that is available through our Ford Official Licensed
Product program.

Both vehicles also included the Roadie by Ruff Rider; a canine vehicle restraint. The Roadie is designed to be the best canine vehicle restraint system, not just a dog harness. Everybody loves dogs, and our model dogs were frequently the subject of attendees' photographs!

We took the opportunity to have some media in the booth for product information interviews as well. Here are a couple of videos from our friends over at PowerTV.
